In 2012, two friends—chef Dimitris Agorastos and Spyros Papanastasatos—who possessed extensive experience in the food service industry, decided to open "Archigeion" in the neighborhood of Gerakas. Their dream was to create a meat-focused eatery that stood out for the quality of its ingredients and the deliciousness of its dishes, all while remaining affordable. It soon established itself as a top destination for high-quality souvlaki and handmade kebab. Gradually, the menu expanded beyond wrapped souvlaki and lahmacun to include a wider range of meat-based options. Today, "Arxigeion" has evolved into a next-generation grill house, with a charcoal grill that prepares everything from dry-aged steaks to *kaserli* kebab.
